With the Arctic Blast still blasting, it's been as cold in our neck of the woods as it has been everywhere else. I actually read somewhere that every US state except Hawaii had freezing temperatures this week. Today, November 23, 2011, is the fifteen-year anniversary of the day my family adopted Sable. Fifteen years! That's more than half my life. I really can't believe it. Mardi Gras isn't a holiday that Sara and I are big fans of. We both work on the parade route, so we have problems with traffic and unruly parade-goers wanting to use the restrooms. These photos were taken within a week of each other, right outside my door. I like seeing the seasons change, but geez, it's supposed to take a little while to get from one to the next. Could the weather down here by any crazier? I think not.

Wow, Rebecca got her haircut today for the first time in nearly three years! (I am not kidding.) I've never really liked getting my haircut, and the last one I had was especially traumatic, which is why I avoided it for so long. I love these two photos so much. I'm so happy that I was able to get them both, even though I wish they were more uniform. These trees are just a few blocks away, and I ride my bike past them regularly.

It's not easy to find the four seasons here in Louisiana, but you can if you look.
